Ram Gurung

I am a new PhD student working with Stephen Ogle and Keith Paustian in Department of Ecosystem Science and Sustainability. I am also working as a Research Associate/Statistician at Natural Resources Ecological Laboratory at Colorado State University. I earned my B.S. in Mathematics and M.S. in Statistics from Colorado State University, where I built a statistical model to predict the Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI)â??a remotely sensed index of vegetation cover and its associated uncertaintyâ??based on climate and management variables. For my dissertation I will be looking forward to build an ammonia volatilization sub-model from agricultural practices to enhance an existing ecosystem simulation model (DAYCENT), parameter optimization using Bayesian techniques and global simulation using climate change scenario. Apart from study I to hike, play volleyball, basketball and watch football.
