I am a recipient of the USDA National Needs Fellowship in Agricultural Biosecurity, and Center For Collaborative Conservation Fellowship, working with advisor Michele Betsill (Political Science), co-advisor Paul Evangelista (NREL), and committee members Maria Fernandez-Gimenez (FRWS) and Tom Stohlgren (NREL & USGS). I completed my B.A. in History and M.A. in Political Science at CSU. My dissertation research looks at integrating local and traditional ecological knowledge of indigenous groups in East Africa and the U.S. into mapping and modeling ecosystem services and their vulnerability to disturbances including invasive species and climate change.
