After birth in Las Vegas, NV I petitioned for a move to a more mountainous region. Successful in my endeavor as a youth, I grew up outside of Denver. I was lucky to have family in the field of fisheries biology, which gave me volunteer opportunities early on. Eventually I was actually hired on to actual paying jobs by the Bureau of Reclamation, which allowed me to work on various fisheries and wildlife projects dealing with endangered species. I finished my undergrad here at CSU and decided to reenlist under the guidance of David Theobald. My research will focus on fine scale analysis and spatial modeling of fresh water systems looking for methods to examine heterogeneity throughout stream reaches.
