I am a midwestern girl originally from Northeast Ohio. I received my undergraduate degrees in genetic biology and entomology from Purdue University in Indiana before heading west to join Ruth Hufbauerâ??s lab here at CSU. I am a PhD student working with black henbane, a noxious weed in the western part of Colorado. I am interested in the ecology and population genetics of black henbane and comparing certain aspects of my research here to data gathered from the native range in Europe. I am thrilled to see mountains EVERY day and hope to be outdoors as much as possible in my free time.
