I received my BA in Biology from St. Olaf College in Northfield MN in May 2011. While at St. Olaf I was involved in research examining the effects of drying and re-wetting on methanogenesis in wetlands. During the summer of 2009 I was an REU student at the Tank lab at the University of Notre Dame studying denitrification in agricultural streams. During summers 2010 and 2011 I traveled to the North East Science Station in Cherksiy Siberia to conduct research on active layer soil respiration as a member of the Polaris Project (www.thepolarisproject.org). At CSU I am working toward my Ph.D in the von Fischer Lab studying methane emissions from high alpine and Arctic wetlands.
