Sky Skach is a M.S. student working under Melinda Laituri and Paul Evangelista in the Graduate Degree Program in Ecology. She grew up in western Oregon. After graduating with a degree in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Studies from the University of Oregon she worked with the National Park Service in Yosemite National Park as a Historical Landscape Architect focusing on cultural resource management. After the Park Service, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines working as a Coastal Resource Management volunteer focusing largely on environmental education, biophysical and socio-economic surveys and working with youth. Throughout all of these, and other shorter-term, experiences she has remained primarily interested in large-scale projects and watershed conservation and management issues.
