I am a new student in the PhD program working with Melinda Laituri in the GDPE department. I received my B.S. in Geology from Aljabal Algharbi University, Libya in 2000, and after graduating, I worked for three years as a teacher assistant in the same faculty. I have a Master of Environmental Science from Libyan Academy, which I obtained in December 2006. My research and work concentrated on the area of using Geographical Information Systems in Following Sand Dune Encroachment in Libya. For my PhD, I will focus on Colorado headwater issues that are being effected by the climate change, and using GIS to deal with this problems.
