I am a new I-WATER fellow starting a PhD program under the guidance of Dr. Jill Baron. I grew up around Boston but fell in love with the mountains of New England and went to college at the University of New Hampshire. In 2012, I graduated with a B.S. in Environmental Science with an emphasis on Ecosystem studies and a minor in Political Science. I spent a few seasons after graduation researching didymo ("rock snot"), an invasive alga, in the Catskill Mountains of New York before joining the Duffy Lab at the University of Michigan where I worked as a lab manager. My interests lie in the interface between aquatic and terrestrial ecosytems and understanding how global climate change alters the sensitive alpine ecosystems in the Rocky Mountain West.
