Aaron is an NSF I-WATER (Integrated Water, Atmosphere, Ecosystems, Education, and Research) Fellow. He grew up in a small coastal town in southeast Texas and obtained his B.S. in Meteorology from Texas A&M University in 2011. Aaron was a conservation intern for the Fish & Wildlife Service in 2009 as well as an intern for the Significant Opportunities in Atmospheric Research and Science (SOARS) program at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, CO from 2010-2011. His research interests include land-atmosphere interaction, aerosol formation and transport, air quality, mountain meteorology, climate change, and water resource management. Aaron is especially interested in applying science policy to his passion of communicating science to non-technical audiences.
