Emma Schlatter

I graduated from Smith College with a B.A. in mathematics. Since then Iâ??ve developed my ecological interests as a field technician on a variety of projects: behavior of forest passerines in Vermont and Florida, seabird distribution and population surveys in Alaska and Washington state, and collection of long-term oceanography data off the coast of California. As a PhD student in Dr. Colleen Webbâ??s lab, co-advised by Dr. Pete Buston of Boston University, I will be switching taxa and combining my ecological and mathematical interests to model marine larval dispersal in Elacatinus lori, a goby fish on the Belizean barrier reef.
