I am excited to be back at CSU for my Master's program after obtaining my degree in Natural Resources Management in 2013. After graduating, I served with Americorps in California doing environmental education, and twice worked for the USGS here in Fort Collins. Most recently this involved doing dendrochronology on shrub species, which renewed my undergraduate interest in forestry. I will be examining the long term effects of fuels treatments done to prevent fires in low elevation forests. As a native of the Colorado Front Range, I am very pleased to be researching a topic that is so relevant to this area. When I am lucky enough to have spare time, I enjoy traveling, studying Spanish, being outdoors, and training jiu jitsu.
