I am originally from the sprawling suburbs of Sacramento, California. I left the central valley to attend UC Santa Cruz, where I received a BS in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Since graduating, I dedicated four years to the California Condor Recovery Program at Pinnacles National Park. Although I am sad to have left the field for the office, I am excited to continue working towards the recovery of the species through my graduate studies. I will be analyzing GPS data collected by California condors to predict when and where they will expand their range. This analysis will inform managers where to focus monitoring and outreach efforts while informing alternative energy developers of crucial habitat for condors and other avian species. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, climbing, and exploring nature, which I am excited to do here in Colorado.
