Your Advisor = Committee Chair
Your Department Head = GDPE Director
Your Department = GDPE

GS6, GS7, GS9A, & GS25 Forms: Contact the GDPE Advisor

All other Forms: Drop off the completed paper form with original signatures at the GDPE Program Coordinator’s office (Johnson Hall rm 104) for program signatures. You will be notified via email once forms are completed at the program level.

Committee Member Participating in Exam Remotely

Only one absent committee member is allowed by the Graduate School.

Include a printed email from the committee member with the prelim/defense form that includes:

  1. The student’s full name
  2. How the member participated in the exam (ex: Skype, conference call, etc.)
  3. How they vote (“Pass” or “Fail”)

Mentor Program

Current students are chosen to be mentors for new students for the academic year. Mentors attend a planning meeting before Fall semester; present topics and organize the students-only outing for the Fall GDPE New Student Orientation; are a valuable resource to new students all year long; have the opportunity to take part in the Spring GDPE New Student Orientation; and receive a free GDPE t-shirt.
